B-52 Venus Flytrap (Dionaea Muscipula) ($14.99)

We are very proud to be the main Canadian supplier of this giant form cultivar which was developed by Henning von Schmeling and recently registered by Barry Rice in his new book "Growing Carnivorous Plants". Characterized by very vigorous growing robust plants that develop extremely large (over 2 inch) traps that obtain a deep red colour in bright light. Tissue cultured, hardened plants equivalent in size to 2 and 3 year old soil grown plants. Dormant plants with smaller/fewer traps and large corms are shipped during the winter months (October-April). Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Please see our international page for ordering conditions if purchasing from outside of Canada.

Big Mouth (Dionaea muscipula) ($9.49)

The Bigmouth produces large traps on very short leaves. Under sun the plants develop a very dark venous blood red coloration and even under artificial/low light the trap interiors still exhibit a very dark red. A very good terrarium plant due to it’s compact growth and ability to display dark red traps under artificial light. Tissue cultured, hardened plant equivalent in size to 2 and 3 year old soil grown plants. Dormant plants with smaller/fewer traps and large corms are shipped during the winter months (October-April). Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Please see our international page for ordering conditions if purchasing from outside of Canada.

Bristletooth ($16.99)

Cloned directly from Triffid Park stock we are very proud to offer the Bristletooth in Canada.
The cilia of the trap margins vary greatly from other Dentate trap forms of Dionaea, neither resembling the Dente’ or Sawtooth cultivars. The irregular growth of the cilia gives it more of a bristly appearance, hence the name. These are tissue cultured, hardened plans equivalent in size to 2 year old soil grown plants. Dormant plants with smaller/fewer traps and large corms are shipped during the winter months (October-April). Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Please see our international page for ordering conditions if purchasing from outside of Canada.

Dentate Traps Venus Flytrap (Dionaea Muscipula) ($7.49)

A cultivar of Dionaea characterized by short triangular cilia (the fingers of the trap lobes). Tissue cultured, hardened plant equivalent in size to 2 and 3 year old soil grown plants. Traps obtain a nice light red colour in bright light. Dormant plants with smaller/fewer traps and large corms are shipped during the winter months (October-April). Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Please see our international page for ordering conditions if purchasing from outside of Canada.

Green Dragon Venus Flytrap (Dionaea Muscipula) ($11.49)

A recently registered cultivar of Dionaea characterized by the plant obtaining a deep maroon colour in direct sunlight with the trap margins remaining green. In lower light levels the plant will still exhibit much red coloration to it. A very robust plant even under artificial lighting.

Red Rosetted VFT (Dionaea Muscipula) ($8.49)

Another cultivar of Dionaea characterized by a more compacted rosette form of growth. Traps and cilia obtain a deep red colour in bright light. Tissue cultured, hardened plant equivalent in size to 2 and 3 year old soil grown plant. Dormant plants with smaller/fewer traps and large corms are shipped during the winter months (October-April). Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Please see our international page for ordering conditions if purchasing from outside of Canada.

Sawtooth Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) ($11.49)

Hardened in time for our 2008 shipping season, we’re proud to offer another registered cultivar of Dionaea. The Sawtooth is distinguished by the short jagged cilia on the trap lobes which have the appearance of the teeth of a wood saw. Being new for this season the plants are smaller than our usual specimens but are greenhouse hardened and growing vigorously. Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Please see our international page for ordering conditions if purchasing from outside of Canada.

Scarlet Bristle ($19.99)

Being of Canadian origin and sure to be a collectors flytrap we are very proud to offer this new Dionaea variety which was developed in our lab from a tissue culture mutation. The Scarlet Bristle is very distinct in its attributes as the leaf petiole, blade and trap exhibit dark scarlet to burgundy coloration in filtered sunlight while the marginal trap cilia are greatly reduced, jagged and irregular, giving a distinct bristly appearance to the trap lobe margins. These are tissue cultured, hardened plans equivalent in size to 2 year old soil grown plants. Dormant plants with smaller/fewer traps and large corms are shipped during the winter months (October-April). Shipped bare root by Canada Post Expedited Parcel on following Monday. Sorry, this form is not yet available for sales outside of Canada or for international distribution.
